THE NEW WORLD ORDER
VS.
THE WORLD GOVERNMENT OF WORLD CITIZENS

By Tom Badley

An interesting proposal from The World Service: Instead of a global centrally-planned government and economics model ('ORDER') that plays nation states against each other in competition for natural resources, why not have a totally decentralized world, governed by and for the entire planet? A government and economics model similar to the internet.

Surely the first step would be to have the right paperwork! And so, the World Service proposes a world passport, now accepted across the globe.

The idea is quite subtle: we know how clandestine factions like to usurp movements and memes: Feminism was usurped by the CIA, Environmentalism was usurped by left-wing liberal politics, the Arab Spring was usurped by the Muslim Brotherhood etc. etc. The World Service's idea proposes to usurp the meme of 'World Government', offering the proposition of World Governance not just to people who would like to create a global 'Order', but also to anyone who might not fancy living under said 'Order'. The latter sounds more fun in any case.

This is being presented without bias,... but I have to wonder, what would an equivalent money system look like? The World Bank of World Citizens anyone?

Being the case that ALL Humans, above all else, create VALUE, its an interesting idea to ponder....

Goodbye Civilization: So Simple A Greekman Can Do It

By Tyler Durden from Zero Hedge

Around 1000 people per day are still losing their jobs in Greece with the percentage of the population not working now uncomfortably larger than those who are employed. This is creating drastic - or perhaps more aptly philosophical - reflections by its people. As the BBC reports, the feeling in Greece is that a "whole generation is on hold" and there is a growing trend towards the creation self-sustaining eco-communities - free of the ties of money and modern civilization. "What others saw as a global economic crisis, [Greeks] saw as a crisis of civilization" and so they are trying something different, growing their own food, bartering with one another, and exchanging surpluses with other villages.

The community calls itself "Free and Real" - an acronym for Freedom of Resources for Everyone, Respect, Equality, Awareness and Learning - and it is growing as a stunning 76% of Greeks would like to emigrate. The positivist angle notes that the Greek crisis is not all bad as it shows the lives we are leading are not working and Greeks can "begin to look for alternatives." Everyone is stressed; but "Being able to work is a basic human right in a civilized society, if the government won't provide us with it then we will have to fight for it."

Schadenfreude Is a German Word

Is the German Pot Calling the PIIGS Kettle Black?

We seem to get the daily barrage of messages and soundbites out of Germany demanding that countries stick to existing plans and that “austerity” is the only way forward.  Germany continues to love to point the finger at the other countries and accuse them of borrowing too much and that these countries need to suck it up and pay what they owe.  For now we will ignore the fact that Germany itself was one of the first countries to break the Maastricht Treaty. What Germany seems to be forgetting is that they jeopardized their own credit quality.  With bunds at record lows, this may not be obvious, but for the past 2 years, Germany has been throwing around guarantees and commitments like they meant nothing.
